Add a new page

Its simple to add new web pages to your website, firstly login to your website admin area and then click on the pages icon or the pages link at the top

You will now see a list of your current website pages and under the list is where you create a new web page which looks like this:

  • TITLE: Type the title of your new page in the "Title" box

  • TYPE: Select the page type, generally you will leave this as WYSIWYG which stands for " What You See Is What You Get" this will allow you to create a general website page

  • PARENT: Now you choose where you want the page to appear in the navigation menu structrue, if you leave it on the default setting "none" then the page will be a top level page and will appear in the main menu or you might like to choose a page you already have and make that its parent, this way the page will be hidden from the main menu and will only appear when the parent page is clicked, it will appear as a child of that page.

  • VISIBILITY: If you leave this on "public" then the page will be visable to anyone who is browsing your website, however you might like to hide the page (maybe you are working on it) in this situation you can change it to "hidden", if you are using the member login features then you can use the "registered/private options" but generally you will have this setting on "public"

Once you have gone through those options click the "ADD" button, this will now create the web page and take you straight to the content section of the page so you can start adding your text / images etc.

Simply type your text/information into the box, you will see a toolbar at the top this is for formatting the text and adding pictures etc etc to your webpage. Once you have added your content click the "save" button to save the page.

Your new web page is now live!

Here are a few of the most popular icons that you will use from the text toolbar:

Insert Website Link

Link to internal web page

Insert Picture/image
