Inserting Images

Here we will explain how to insert an image into one of your web pages, firstly make sure you have uploaded the image you want to use as explained here

Login to your website administration area and go to the pages section, here you will see a list of your current webpages

Click on the title name of the webpage you want to insert the image into and it will take you into the editing section for that particular web page

Place your cursor where you want the picture to be inserted and click on the "Insert/Edit Image" button thats in the toolbar

This will open up the image properties box

click on the "Browse Server" button and you will see a list of the images you have already uploaded to the server, click on the image you want to use

This will now bring you back to the image properties box with the image you have selected, at this point you can configure how the image is going to appear in your webpage.

  • Alternative Text: This text appears as a small popup when a person hovers their cursor over the image
  • Width & Height: Generally you wont want to change this unless you want to make the image a little smaller then you can reduce the pixel size, reducing for example the width will automatically reduce the height to keep the image in proportion.

  • Border: This is the border around the image, put in a 0 if you want no border, if you want a thin border put in 1 and so on if you want it thicker increase the number

  • HSpace: This is horizontal spacing around the image, if you align the image to the left or right you will want some horizontal spacing so that the text does not touch the image, so you will want to give the image a little breathing space, generally 5 is a good space.

  • VSpace: This is Vertical spacing, basically as above but this will give space to the top and bottom of the image

  • Align: Choose if you want the image to align to the left or right etc, by using this align option this will enable text to wrap around the picture

Look at the settings i have put in on the above image properties box and now see below how it has positioned my image within the text editor

Now click the save button and your webpage now has your image inserted.
